John Strohecker,  V. P.  Alarm and Detection,  Cosco Fire Protection

John grew up in Northeast Ohio and received an AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology from Youngstown State University in 1981.  He then was employed in the estimating department at Warden Electric in Youngstown, OH and EL-O Electric in Cleveland, OH.

In 1983 he joined Tri-S –Controls as a fire alarm technician and transferred to Southern California in 1985.

Since coming to Southern California he has been a technician, project manager, project sales, and sales manager for various companies and since 2005 has been the Vice President of Alarm & Detection for Cosco Fire Protection, Inc. and is based out of the Brea, CA location

John serves on the board of the California Automatic Fire Association and also participates with the Los Angeles Sound JASC.

John enjoys golf and enjoys a variety of sports especially hockey.

John currently lives in San Dimas, CA with his wife of 25 years.  He has 5 children and a new grandson.

Bio

Mr. Koermer has been working in the fire protection and life safety industry since 1991. He holds a BS in EET from DeVry Institute of Technology. He started his career as a service technician and progressing through the field ranks to a Project Manager, Operations Manager and General Manager for National Integrators in Southern California.  Mr. Koermer has been in a Sales Role now for over 7 years for one of the largest fire protection manufacturer and installer in the world and is responsible for growth and providing solutions in his territory. His past experience is in integrated low voltage systems and fire protection system for vertical markets from High Rise, Government, Commercial and Residential applications.

Outside of his career, Mr. Koermer enjoys playing tennis, hockey and coaching his two son’s hockey teams.

Bio

Mr. Cervantes has been working in the fire protection and life safety field since 1996, beginning his career as an Installer and progressing through the field ranks to become a Project Manager, and Operations Manager for 2 very large organizations in Southern California. Mr. Cervantes has now moved his talents to the Manufacturing world, to bring about a change to the level of integration opportunities available to all of the Life Safety industry with innovative products and modifications to many of the pre-existing methodologies of installations. His past experience included the management of projects in all vertical markets from K-12, Higher Education, Government, Commercial, Residential, High Rise and Clean Room application.

Now the Western Region Business Development Manager for Space Age Electronics, Cervantes’ responsibility is the growth and development of Space Age presence in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska & Hawaii, providing solutions to complicated fire protection engineering and building code based problems.

Outside of fire protection, Mr. Cervantes enjoys a daily trip to the gym, photography, dancing and travel.
